Data Security<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>access control to data;<\/li>\n<li>acquisition and specification of security policies and requirements;<\/li>\n<li>design for security;<\/li>\n<li>security in advanced systems: web-based information systems, cloud computing, workflows, e-commerce, e-services, power grids.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ph.D. Thesis on security management in databases \u00a0(in cooperation with University of Maryland, College Park). Cooperation with research teams and companies.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>2. Risk mitigation strategies, analysis of business convenience of ensuring assets. Techniques for personal protection. Development of prototypes for risk analysis (with probabilistic techniques) and emergency management (with deterministic techniques).<br \/>\nCooperation with Frederick University Nicosia, Cyprus, UNIMI-Bicocca, Fondazione Politecnico di Milano and companies in the \u201cSmart Cities\u201d Tender (Lineacom, Microdevice, MailUp).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>5. Co-Engineering Security and Safety of Cyber-Physical Systems<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Methodologies and tools for\u00a0facing security threats and safety hazards that generate risks in smart environment s(e.g., work areas).
